The Certified APM Technical Consultant Associate is a part of the overall GE Digital Education Services Certification Framework. The APM Technical Consultant Associate ensures the competency of candidates at a subject matter expert level. Functional Consultants can pursue certification in various APM pillars, dependent on their industry experience and interests, as well us pursue Expert level credentials if desired.

The Certified APM Technical Consultant Associate exam is intended for an individual who implements and/or installs Predix APM (Cloud) and APM Classic and it does require technical understanding of the APM Modules. It is highly advised that candidates also complete the APM End User Associate Certification Exam for a full understanding of how a customer would use each of the modules and how those APM modules would benefit their organization.
The candidate should have a Broad knowledge of programming languages and databases (4 year Bachelor Degree in Engineering, CS or Info Systems or related STEM degree, or Equivalent Software Experience (8+ years).) The candidate should also have working experience (2 years minimum), have experience doing enterprise software implementations in an industrial setting involving data integrations, and should have fundamental understanding of asset performance management concepts.
In this role, you will work closely with APM Technical Leaders/customers to implement GE digital solutions and configure the software based on the customer requirements. You will act as an individual contributor on these engagements, contributing to software implementation, upgrades, and troubleshooting while balancing scope versus project time and resource commitments. Direct customer interaction will be minimal. Implementation of the APM product should be delivered as designed and configured to optimize the customer’s solution (per the Specification/Design documents). This role will include (but not limited to) software installations and configurations, data loading, database related tasks, building reports, troubleshooting, and minor customizations.
