Welcome to Operations Hub 2023, Self-directed Security and Administration. This is the forth course in the Basics series. Learn about Operations Hub security and access features. You will review implementing security accounts and scopes for roles (user, developer, admin) and Operations Hub web-based security (Proficy Authentication for Operations Hub). How-to secure apps and data, while using application settings to set how an application is also presented.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

• Understand the basics of application and data security in Operations Hub.
• Review accounts and scopes for different roles (users, developers, administration).
• Create user accounts and a group of accounts.  
• Grant access to apps in various ways.
• Use groups to grant access to an app. Restrict access to a page by UAA group.
• Restrict access to data by role. Limit access to row and column table data by category.
• Explore applications settings and how they affect how an application is presented.
