Course Description

HMI

Welcome! This is the fourth course in the Basics series. In this iFIX HMI orientated course, you will look at a whole host of components, tools and methods of developing the iFIX HMI. This course develops a practical HMI using iFIX Workspace. Pictures are created using a variety of objects animated from iFIX data sources. Data Entry and Control is configured and VBA introduced. Navigation methods are investigated. Alarms are monitored, and re-usable displays are configured from Model sources. 
 


By the end of this course, you will be able to:
 

  • Utilize many of the Workspace tools.
  • Understand the feature of the system tree, ribbons and dynamos.
  • Configure user preferences in both Configuration Hub and Workspace.
  • Create pictures and use layouts.
  • Develop HMI displays with shapes and animations.
  • Utilize Workspace globals.
  • Configure an HMI navigation system.
  • Monitor alarms in the HMI.
  • Configure re-usable displays.
  • Configure data entry and control.
  • Investigate the use of VBA.
